Shrimp Nurseries v. Humanity:

There is a piece of plastic in every droplet of water. There is a plastic island twice the size of Texas in the Pacific, and that's just what they found by accident. Our once healthy seafood supply is now one of the most contaminated food sources on earth. Oil is now gushing by the gallons from a hole they cannot close.

If a corporation can be considered an individual, can't an eco-system? It is time for the GREATER GOOD to rise above the needs for people to drive to Wal-Mart. Just because it's easier and convenient tp depend on oil/coal, doesn't mean we have the right to risk so much damage.

I hope it is not too late on the day we realize we are all connected. These "lower" forms of life sustain us. Need we force them to prove it?

  1. Do you really mean to tell me they didn't plan for such a spill? No secondary system in the event of failure? There is zero room for error here. Or even plan on how to clean it up? Where are those oil eating bacteria they've been bragging about all these years?

They are scrambling around like they never considered oil might spew from the ocean floor. RIDICULOUS! The marine life and I are angry.

And the saddest part? We still drill, mine, and perform unauthorized surgery on our home since there is no or little financial incentive to create alternative energies. We almost had the chance when gas prices exploded, but suspiciously they went back down.
